Privacy Policy
This policy describes the information Folio Space handles when photographers build portfolios and deliver work to clients.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Folio Space, we may collect:
- account details such as your email address and authentication information;
- portfolio content, photographs, metadata, text, branding, and design settings;
- client details, private-album settings, favorites, comments, and delivery history;
- domain, Lightroom integration, and email-delivery configuration; and
- technical information such as device, browser, IP address, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, secure, maintain, and improve Folio Space;
- authenticate accounts and prevent abuse;
- publish portfolios and deliver private client albums;
- send service, account, and client-delivery communications;
- provide support and troubleshoot problems; and
- comply with legal obligations.
3. How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate authentication, hosting, storage, image processing, email delivery, domains, analytics, security, and support. They may process information only for the services they provide to us.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, during a business transaction, or when you direct us to share it—such as publishing a portfolio or sending a private client-album link.
4. Photographer and client responsibilities
Photographers decide what client information and photographs to enter, who receives album links, and how long those links remain active. If a photographer provides your information through Folio Space, that photographer also determines why it is used and should be your first contact for questions about the album or project.
5. Retention
We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain backups, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the feature involved.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so use strong credentials and protect private album links from unintended access.
7. Your choices and requests
You may update account and portfolio information through Folio Space. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy of certain personal information.
Requests may be sent through the contact information provided in Folio Space service communications. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
8. Children
Folio Space is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through account registration.
9. International processing
Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate measures for international transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Folio Space changes. We will post the new effective date here and provide additional notice when appropriate.
